Tree House Apartment / Projekt V Arhitektura

A sensory retreat in Sarajevo

Apartamento da Casa na Árvore / Projekt V Arhitektura - Fotografia de Interiores, Sala de Estar, Madeira, Cadeira

The apartment designed by Projekt V Arhitektura, situated in Sarajevo, spans an impressive 100 m² and serves as a remarkable example of sustainable retrofit. Nestled within an Austro-Hungarian courtyard building, this space has been transformed into a warm universe where the connection with nature is palpable through the meticulous selection of natural materials. Intended for a young family, the design is characterized by cherry wood finishes that imbue the environment with warmth and elegance. The walls, painted with clay, create a natural harmony, while stone countertops and linen curtains add sophistication and lightness. The use of travertine in discreet detailing enhances the minimalist aesthetic of the space. One of the most enchanting elements of this apartment is the child-sized Tree House, a prefabricated and custom-made structure crafted from laminated spruce wood, which sparks children's imagination and creates a playful area. The result is an environment that evokes a sense of timelessness, engaging in a dialogue with the traditions of minimalism and 20th-century modernism in Sarajevo, while housing a curated collection of Bosnian craftsmanship and contemporary art. This work not only redefines residential space but also promotes a sensory experience that engages all the senses.
